Things are looking up. On the way over to Beachcomber Island, I met a girl who was meeting friends who also lived in Chapel Hill. Odd, you think? Well, as it turns out she is friends with Pam and was actually spending the week with Pam, Mindy, and I. Mickey is great. She made a great travel companion and we spent the entire day laying on the beach and sharing stories. I haven’t talked with anyone outside of Hong Kong in a while, so I had a lot of pent up chatting to do.
Mindy and Pam made it in around 9:00 or so. Their boat broke down a few times because of seaweed so their trip was quite eventful. I won’t spoil Mindy’s story though!
I’m tracked a couple of things during my Fiji stay – accommodations and books.
Accommodations - The first three nights I slept with 120 people in a huge hut. Fortunately, all 120 people weren’t there, but there were 120 bunk beds in the same open air room. I know it sounds like hell, but it was really quite nice and the people were very respectful.
Today’s book – Finally finished Me Talk Pretty One Day, Started Blink
