Ginkgo Nuts and Japanese with the Chinese

1-20-06

The Full-time students invited the exchange students out to a Japanese dinner tonight. Do they not like Chinese food? Well, dinner was great anyway. Afterwards, the boys and I (2 Germans, 1 Dutch guy, 1 American guy who everyone in China thinks is from India) went to Felix – a fancy schmancy restaurant at the top of the Peninsula Hotel. Philipp Starck decorated the restaurant, but I think must have been really tired by the time he reached the bar area. It looked more like a peach threw up all over a 70’s dance floor. Being that I am poor, I think I will shoot for drinks at all of the fancy restaurants.

Today’s Food – Octopus (3) Ginkgo Nuts (3) I’m bummed that I missed the frog at another table.

Today’s Quote – “If Farah Fawcett calls, tell her she can have her hair style back tomorrow” – Me I need a haircut!
