All of the guide books say that the Temple St. Night Market is a must do, so we did it. I definitely have lots of ideas for souvenirs now. I’m going to hold off for a while to make sure I’ve seen all of my options. Most of the market was filled with slightly pushy sales people and lots of chatchka
We stopped at an outdoor-ish restaurant for dinner. You really need to see a picture to explain. A pushy lady pulled us off of the street and then sat us right in the middle of the entrance – half way in the door. Do you think they thought that a few whiteys like us might encourage other whiteys to be less intimidated by the ambiance and intestines hanging on the wall?
Missing Report –
The last vegetable seen in Hong Kong disappeared sometime around the time of the Japanese inquisition. This vegetable was green and leafy. All other vegetables disappeared at the same time and there is reason to suspect foul play. Originally, the vegetables disappeared during the Japanese inflicted famine. The departure of these great vitamin delivery systems plagues the greater Hong Kong region to this day. If you spot a vegetable of any sort, please preserve it so that the authorities may breed it with other vegetables and food can once again enjoy a green hue.
Amendment – Rice is NOT a vegetable, does not contain vitamins, and should not be anyone’s sole source of carbohydrates.
I heart rice much less than I did last week. I still heart it, I just wish it was accompanied by the occasional touch of broccoli or spinach.
