Fish balls?

View of my school from my living room window

$1000 HKD = $130 USD. I just like having a 1000 bill!

Do you think people know you can see through glass? The guy across the courtyard from me and a few floors up doesn’t seem to get it. First, I am STRONGLY opposed to anyone tucking shirts into their undies. You know who you are. Second, PLEASE don’t make me watch. It’s just mean.

Kevin and Meg made it in today, but Cathay Pacific did not treat them as well as Virgin treated me. They had food poisoning before even eating anything in Hong Kong! They think it was the soupy eggs. You think? Maybe they should stick with Virgins.

I ventured over to school today. Our school sits on the edge of a mountain. Hopefully, I can include some pictures. I’ve been running in our hotel gym in the mornings and I can see our school across the Harbour. The treadmill faces Tolo Harbour and the surrounding mountains. Not a bad scene!

My student buddy who is responsible for helping me feel more comfortable at school is really sweet. She’s 12, but sweet.

Cultural note – Asian women run EVERYWHERE, which I think explains their uncanny skinniness. Also, impatience is frowned upon in Asia, but every time someone steps on the elevator, an Asian presses the close door button. I’m confused as to why they run and push door close buttons (which must save 1/10 of a second) but find impatience rude. Just curious.

Today’s Food – Tofu with Sugar (2), Fish Balls (3), pork dumplings (3)
